Japan part two.

It's taken a little while to go back through the images and put them together, I don't want to remember the trip because then I will relise how wonderful it would be to go back.  One day.  This is a little bit picture heavy, but holiday posts always are.  There is always so much to show and tell...

Views from hotel rooms and Noodles for dinner.

The spectacle that is Disney Land.  Nice to meet you Walt.

Japanese Disney Land celebrations.  So many colours and happy children.  Towards the end of the day loud noises.  A little boy caused a pigeon to fly into me.  It was at this point that Disney Land started to lose it's appeal.

Crowds out the front of temples.

Views from temples.  So lovely.

Little painted signs.

Strange large advertisements in Shibuya.

View from the Contemporary Gallery in Kyoto.  I saw a strange exhibition at the building across the road because I didn't understand.

Temples in Kyoto.  I will remember the names one day.

Peaceful raked gardens.

Arashiyama, bamboo grove.  Magical light.  Walking underneath umbrella's looking like Totoro.  Hiding from the rain.

Late night walkings down alleyways.  Getting a little bit lost and a little bit worried.  But finding our way back home safely.

Kinkaku-ji temple.  Made of gold.  Sparkling despite the murky weather.

A little addiction to Matcha Green Tea Latte's that I picked up along our journey.

So many more little things.  Looking at these I think maybe it is okay to remember.  I will go back one day.  It will be lovely, and I know where to visit again now, so many more little streets and secrets to wander and find.  Coming home is strange.

today.

When I got home today I wasn't feeling the best.  But luckily I have these guys to cheer me up when I walk in the door.  It made everything a whole lot better, and put all the uni troubles out of my mind for a little while.

Biscuit jumped up on the chair to help me out.

Daisy being Daisy.

Our lovely red chicken enjoys a drink from Daisy's waterbowl when she gets the chance.

Sharing a drink together, this little moment was the highlight of my day.  Love.

Japan part one.

It's been a few weeks since returning, and it's taken a cold on a Friday night to make me sit down and actual sort through some pictures.

Japan was lovely.  Strange buildings, items, events and the most well looked after gardens.  Tall buildings, underground train stations.  Tokyo in particular was a city of changing altitudes.  These particular images are only from the first couple of days.  I'm not particularly sure why each of them was chosen, but they are here.  Gathered, collected and shared.

The first night, so many lights.  We accidentally wandered down the wrong road, but it was okay because so many lovely bright lights.

Magical stairs on the way up to the robot at Studio Ghibli.

A lunch and snacks at Shinjuku Gyoen.  Panda Pokey sharing.

The city overlooks the garden.

These were some of the first Koi encountered.  I named this one Trumpet.

So many wonderful strange things.  More to come.  When I organise it and work it out.   One day soon hopefully.
